Had just been to Uluru were we had done the base walk sunrise tour which was informative but not a patch on Amanda's knowledge, enthusiasm, passion and desire to educate us of her ancestors ways and how they are so meaningful today. Amanda clarified so many things in a way that the lay person could understand and acknowledge. Really felt a connection with what we were being told. We were looking for an authentic, insightful glimpse into aboriginal culture/politics and this tour was definitely foundational. It was a “glimpse” because only so much could be covered in the allotted time. The combination of her lived experiences as an Aboriginal woman, passion for her culture and background as a professor added so much depth and breadth to the tour.
